A New Hampshire-born craft brewery with a love for food from scratch and a
good cocktail.
Beer has always been a passion of mine. My first real ‘job’ was capping my father’s homebrew bottle caps at the ripe old age of 7. Visiting haunts like Catamount Brewing, Seven Barrel Brewery, and Gritty’s as a child ingrained in me the virtues and vibe of the craft beer scene well before the boom we are living in now. My passion is two-fold- creating clean, artisanally made beers for all to enjoy, and creating an atmosphere of friendliness, camaraderie, and community outreach for all to enjoy. My vision is that of a traditional English Publick House- high-quality beer served in a place of community gathering where strangers, locals, regulars, and everyone in between can chat amongst themselves over a pint or two. While I don’t have a brewing ‘style’ per se, I particularly enjoy making true-to-style European beers, especially German lagers. A good IPA on occasion never hurt anyone either, though. Next time you come in, look for the haggard-looking guy in rubber boots walking around and chat. I’m an open book, and I’d love to share a page or two with everyone.

9 months agoFirst time in on a busy Saturday afternoon with 6 adults and a baby. Plenty of room and we were seated fast. No reservations or call ahead needed. Service was fast and friendly taking care of our thirst. Flights of beers were nice to sample other beers I would not normally try. A few of us ordered custom orders on the chicken sandwiches- everything came out right!! Food was very good, with only 2 exceptions.. soup was good but Luke warm - needs to hot. The Brussel sprouts were big (I like the smaller ones), and needed more balsamic. Otherwise the food rock. Chicken sandwiches, salads, etc.- yummy On a side note, I found it pleasant to my ears. No loud music playing and spread out - no real noise echoing- I would come back just for that!!!!

a month agoWhat a great spot. Not only good beer but fantastic food. The ribs were beautiful, and both the chicken and the waffles were clearly hand-crafted, not just some frozen chicken and frozen waffles. Plus an awesome atmosphere and great service. Not every brewery out there has it all, but Backyard does - especially really fantastic food made from scratch. Highly recommend.

8 months agoThis place felt like it had a great vibe, and it was pretty packed! The staff was friendly and helpful, and even those there was a slight mix up with my food order, it was immediately corrected. The drink selection was also great. We had the Alabama Chicken Sandwich and Veggie Pizza. Both tasted great, however the sandwich was extremely salty. Which is the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars. We will definitely be back.

a year agoOutstanding staff first off. From when you walk in to be seated, then when you are being waited on, you feel like you have their attention. My waiter, Pat Teirany was outstanding! Food was delicious.band the beer... So much to choose from and all just as good as the previous glass. Pretty hopping on weekends. The live music is great. Love this place and will be back!
