Bedell Bridge State Park is a 74-acre park located along the Connecticut River. The park was the site of a historic two-span covered bridge, the second longest in the country. The covered Burr Truss bridge, which connected New Hampshire to Vermont, was destroyed by wind in 1979 and is no longer there. Burr Truss or Burr Arch—is a combination of an arch and a multiple kingpost truss design.
A Fish and Game boat launch is located within the park.
This park is always open for recreation. During the off-season the park is typically not staffed and comfort stations are not available.
The off-season poses unique risks inherent when participating in outdoor recreational activities. Please be aware that many State Park areas and trails are not staffed during the off-season, and day-use fees are not collected. Recreationists should possess the necessary knowledge, skill, and equipment to ensure their own safety. Users assume all risk while recreating in State Park lands.
Pets are permitted in the park. See the NH State Parks Pets Policy for more information.
Through the Carry-In/Carry-Out Program, you can help us keep your parks clean and beautiful by carrying out whatever you carry in. Thank you for your cooperation and remember to recycle.

a year agoNice little park, didn't stay long. Hoped there'd be some hiking trails.

7 months agoLovely spot on the river. Short walking trail. Mainly looks like a boat launching area.

2 years agoThis is where a memorial is for a young boy that was killed in North Haverhill New Hampshire. David Smith. There is also a historical marker here for the bridge.

a year agoA boat ramp with good parking for trailers and a few car top carriers. A short mowed nature trail with out any interpretation. Several picnic tables. No toilet or trash! Dirt road that's pretty rutted. If you aren't putting a boat in the river I'm not sure why you would go there.
