Please Note: The Auto road will be closed on Sunday May 1, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the Miller State Park Road Race (aka Pack Monadnock 10-Miler.) Only emergency vehicles and 1 race support vehicle will be allowed on the road during this time. There will be a traffic detail at the entrance to Miller and NH Rt. 101 to direct traffic flow. No reservations will be taken up until 1 p.m. on the day of the race.

Camping
Milan Hill State Park is located ten miles north of Berlin near popular areas for hiking, picnicking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and wildlife viewing. From this hilltop campground and the fire tower located there, you can get a complete view of the mountain ranges in New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Canada. The park has undergone an extensive renovation and this primitive camping area has added four yurts and relocated six campsites. The campground opening is to be determined.

Operating Schedule
This park is always open for recreation unless otherwise posted. During the off-season the park is typically not staffed and comfort stations are not available.

*Yurts: Weekly reservations are from Saturday to Saturday check with the campground office for walk-in options. The fee covers one to six people, with a maximum of six people per yurt/cabin.
The off-season poses unique risks inherent when participating in outdoor recreational activities. Please be aware that many State Park areas and trails are not staffed during the off-season, and day-use fees are not collected. Recreationists should possess the necessary knowledge, skill, and equipment to ensure their own safety. Users assume all risk while recreating in State Park lands.
New Adirondack Shelter
Below are some pictures of our new Adirondack shelter on site C6 (close to yurt 4). It is a 16×16 foot area. The deck itself is closer to 16×12. It is a reservable site for $29 per night.
Winter Season
Milan Hill State Park features over 9 miles of groomed nordic ski trails, maintained by the Nansen Ski Club; America’s oldest existing ski club. Plowed access and parking is available, along with a newly constructed Warming Hut, open to the public. For more information on the Club and ski trails in the Park, visit

Directions
From I-93 N take exit 35 onto Rt. 3. From I93 South use exit 36 to Rt. 141 E to Rt. 3. If you wish to use exit 36 in both directions you need to include Rt 141E in both directions to Rt. 3.

6 months agoA fun and easy place to get a good high view of the north country. During the summer, you can park less than half a mile from the fire tower, which is very sturdy and well maintained, letting you see all of the surrounding knobs and all the way to Berlin. Unfortunately, many of the cross country skiing trails aren't cleared in the summer, so you can only walk along the main routes

6 months agoThis camp ground is amazing, as was the staff. We stayed in Yurt 3. It was clean and well maintained. It was nice to camp yet still have beds to sleep on. The surrounding area has tons to see and do, or just relax on the peaceful and quiet campground. The views from the fire tower are incredible.

5 months agoVery clean and well taken care of park. We stayed in one of the yurts and it was well worth it. The fire tower had fantastic views. Campsites were quiet and private with easy access to water, trash and bathrooms.

3 months agoWent with a friend and had a blast! Beautiful drive to the park, camp sites were just separate enough that we had breathing space. Staff was friendly. And we had full bars which was nice as two single females

6 months agoThe day use area is simple but lovely. Lots of open space for kids to run, plenty of sun and shade, picnic area, and an amazing view from the water tower.
