The Sandwich Notch is a hidden gem in Sandwich that features hiking trails, ample rock climbing/bouldering opportunities, and features a waterfall - Beede falls, with plenty of area to swim. Dogs are allows to use the area.
From the main lot, walk down the road for a minute or so and turn right up a trail toward the left side of The Meadows. Follow the trail to the left up the hill for another 30 seconds and you are there.
An excellently varied plethora of trad and toprope routes from 5.4 to 5.1.West of route 16, Square Ledge is easily seen from the parking area at the AMC center in Pinkham. After finding a spot in the huge parking lot, cross r-16 to the trailhead.
Go west on Route 25 from I-93 onto Route 25 (Tenny Mountain Highway exit) at Plymouth. This road becomes (Mt. Moosilauke Highway) to Oliverian Notch. This is approximately 35 miles from Plymouth, N.H. More info when you click on "Visit Website"
This is a secluded shady area that does not see much traffic due to getting there and old school bolted routes w/ some new fixed protection. At the Map kiosk before boulder natural, cut left into the woods for about 5-10 min. Stay more right.
