Originating in 1994, the history of Stark Brewing Company is almost as intriguing as Stark beer itself. Formerly known as the Stark Mill Brewery, our company was the second NH brewery in the state but the first operating brewpub. Brought to life through the efforts of Queen City native, Brewmaster Peter Telge, Stark Mill Brewery was an instant favorite amongst Manchester beer lovers. Creatively designed and innovatively crafted, Stark Beer is a legend among legends.

However, to keep up with the times and demands of our customers, a rebrand of the company was in order. When we reopened in the historic Millyard District as Milly’s Tavern, the brewery reached an entirely new level of legacy status. Named after Peter’s favorite German Shepard, Milly’s Tavern brought the present day logo in honor of the late Milly. Beyond the iconic logo, customers can find a few of our favorite pups showcased across our labels. Because of our love for animals, we’re proud to support foundations like Paws of Peace and The Animal Rescue League.

But we don’t stop there – at Stark Brewing, we support, and host, several local charities including Families in Transition, Manchester’s Little League Foundation as well as several cancer foundations. From charity nights to sponsorship, we’re proud to give back to the community who made us who we are today.

In our final form, Stark Brewing Company continues our legacy operating as Manchester’s preferred brewpub and distillery. Delicious food and even better microbrews paired with a welcoming, rustic atmosphere backed by a team dedicated to providing exceptional service, is what the people receive at Stark Brewing Company. Here, everyone is family.

Located in the historic mill district of Manchester New Hampshire, Stark Brewing Company has won dozens of award in the last 2 decades for their craft ales.

So good! Great menu, well priced food and drink selections. Great flight options to try all their fav beers or make your own! Menu, and beer list, has something for everyone. Good for a date night, night out, group visit, anything will work here!

A brewery, distillery, and restaurant all in one great location! Excellent atmosphere, it feels like you are in an old factory that was converted to a speak easy. The bourbon was excellent, the best NH-made bourbon I've had. The hard seltzer is great as well. I didn't try the food but everything I saw looked really good. I'll be going back the next time I'm in town. My only negative is that bourbon bottle and canned seltzer sales weren't available. I would have stocked up if it was! Update 12/3/22: I went back and enjoyed another Longclaw, stark bourbon neat, and the stark Gyro. All amazing 😜

The food was delicious. We ordered all you can eat fish fry. The haddock was perfectly fried so we couldn't stop eating. The beer was pretty tasty but I wouldn't suggest the liquor. There are better options. The wait staff was friendly, we would definitely stop in again.

Local brewery with interesting beer selections and decent food options. Recently took a visit to try some local beer. As a beer enthusiast, I couldn’t resist trying their seasonal offerings and decided to get their blueberry ale with some fried pickle chips. The pickle chips were unfortunately overcooked and extremely salty, but I really enjoyed the beer. The blueberry flavor was prominent, and despite being a fruit infused beer, it wasn’t too sweet. The sugar rim which I opted for, actually accentuated the fruity notes of the beer, and I enjoyed the overall taste of it. Highly recommend trying out their beer selections and some of their seasonal offerings.
